Master Key Experience – Week 22
Don’t Cheat Yourself
As we have been reaching the end of the Master Key Experience, I’m realizing just how much I missed out on by not engaging 100% from the very beginning. I see how important it is not to just read and learn about the development of the tiny habits required to bring about change in my life, but to actually do them. Knowledge does not apply itself. By not doing all that was asked of me, I have essentially cheated myself. I am not now where I could be in terms of time. Had I been engaging 100% of the exercises 100% of the time, I wouldn’t be regretting it now.
Remember the Tiny Habits
Developing and practicing the things that need to become new habits will make it so that no conscious thought is necessary when needing to deploy a new strategy.
Writing things down (if it’s not written down, it’s not real), reading them out loud, with enthusiasm, repetition, and the need to surround yourself with a group of like-minded people (a mastermind alliance) are the just a few of the things necessary to guarantee your success. Certainly not all. I neglected some of them, and am now paying the price.
Months after I have had serious thoughts about quitting, doubts about the methods, and questioned the philosophies, it is now that I see the value and truth in all of it. For years I have hung onto the premise that for things to change, I have to change. Unfortunately I had not been willing to do 100% of the work 100% of the time.
Don’t be like I was. Be serious. Do the work. Do it now!
